Surilang Reservoir Widening Constrained of Land Acquisition

The project of Surilang Reservoir widening in Gedong Urban Village, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta, is constrained of land acquisition. From 27 land maps for 16,617 square meters which will be bought, there are only six areas that agreed, while the rest refused to be acquitted . Actually, Water Section of East Jakarta Public Works Sub-Department has already prepared budget Rp 6 billion from 2014 local budgets.

All of the 27 land areas which will be acquitted located on RW 12 and precisely in RT 06, 07, 08 and 09. The land acquisition is actually already planned since 2004. But it recently implemented on this year.
Land Acquisition of Ciliwung Waterway Project Continued“The land owner which agreed requested that their land to be directly paid. But we are still waiting for Water Section of East Jakarta Public Works Sub-Department as budget user,” said Gumilar, Monday (6/16).
According to him, resident’s who are agreed requested to be paid immediately because they reasoned of new house down payment. If the payment is not from the beginning, it feared that they will be overwhelmed because they do not have preparation since the beginning.
Related with that, Head Section for Flood Control Infrastructures and Facilities Maintenance of East Jakarta Water Management Public Works Sub Department, Supriyatno admitted the budget is already allocated by Rp 6 billion from 2014 Regional Budget (APBD). The budget will be used to pay land compensation nearby Surilang Reservoir.
“There are residents refused to be acquitted. They reason is does not make sense, they asked for too much of compensation, 5 times from available NJOP price. Jakarta Provincial Government cannot agree of that because we are only able to pay compensation based on NJOP,” said Supriyanto.
Supriyatno added, as this far, land acquisition plan is still on inventories phase, which conducted by East Jakarta Land Procurement Committee (P2T). Socialization for land owners is already conducted couple of times in Gedong Urban Village office.
Suprayitno added, one of the problem founded is when residents that do not have land certificates but they insisted as the right owner of the land they occupied. So that, he has to check before he conducts land acquisition.
